Default obd1 cel ??

ok, well i have a obd1 b16a3 thats running on a p30 in my 99 civic ex.

i have a cel only when i let the engine run for a couple of minutes, but when i try to check it via the obd1 method (turn on, then turn off, repeat.) i cant get it to flash the cel, so should i check it using an obd2 diagnostic tool?

Is the car converted to OBDI?
If so you can no longer use the Scan port under the Steering wheel.

You can use the Service connector.
