i'm pretty sure that si is actually sport intended, not sport injection. I could be wrong but i'm almost positive. I used to think it was sport injection but then someone told me different. Not sure.

Then if you are almost, kinda, absolutely, some kid told me sure, explain why the there was an 'S' version of the Civic which was then changed to 'Si' with the introduction of fuel injection.

I have an older issue of sport compact car which claims the initial designation was "sequential injection". This would make sense since the 86-87 civic standard and dx were carb'd and the Si was MPFI. Also the EF civics the standard and dx's were a dual port(like a throttle-body type) injection and the Si was individual injectors.

Before everyone starts hating and disagreeing, this is just what I read in a magazine and it seemed to make sense. I guess the best way would be to ask someone who works at corporate Honda.

so the 84-85 civic S would be a civic "sequential"? uh.. no.

i do believe the DX stands for deluxe. unlike the base civic which would be just the standard.

Uh...no. I've known that si meant "sport injection" since I got into hondas, but this thread got me doubting. So I did some research. You don't need some corporate homey, who doesn't even know that a Mugen Si has no more power than a regular one. Go to google and type in "si". You'll find your answer there.
