Default JDM B16A4

Guys just need some confirmation here. On the Civic SiR JDM, isn't the EK model the B16A4 engine and on the earlier models the B16A1 varient, making 170bhp and 160bhp respectivly.

Now I know all JDM motors are stamped as just B16A and have no number after them to denote their exact model in the range.

Can anyone confirm this. I am 99% sure here.

Thanks

The EK4 B16A had 160 HP, the EG6/EG9/EG2 B16A had 170 HP, the EF9/EF8 B16A had 160 HP, and the DA6 B16A had 170 HP.

I know all that, what I asked was what variant of B16A it was. The 1/2/3/4?
I am aware they are all stamped the same but the are different motors obviously.

So again. Can anyone confirm that the B16A(4) is in the EK SiR JDM.

I'm not big on all the JDM crap so I'm not entirely sure.

Though I thought that was the only B16A motor from '96-'00? That being so wouldn't it be OBD-II? If I recall correctly there were no other variants in '96-'00, only '<95, no?

I could be wrong here, but if it's OBD-II I'm pretty sure it's an A4. Other than measuring the internals though I can't think of anything else :-\

It would be considered 3rd gen, but closely related to the B16A2.

That JDM has no number stamped on the end?
or the hp figures?
Which are you looking for confirmation on?

alrite.. this is what i know.. im not 100% sure but im sure enough.. i think

b16a1 is the older gen like the obd1 or may be even obd0
b16a2 varies by 2 motor, there are obd1 (delso) and obd2b (civic si)
b16a3 is the 96-97 civic delso obd2a i believe
