Is a JDM Type R exhaust compatible with a Si sedan?
I recently purchased a 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan, and I was wondering if it was compatible with the ABA-FD2 series exhausts since the Type-R in Japan is a 4-door sedan as well. In the past I've installed a 5zigen Miracle N-spec Type-R exhaust on a DC5 RSX-S with absolutely no problem. Can the same be said today from sedan to sedan?
Secondly, I forsee numerous problems because of the finicky nature of the sensors in the exhuast. To the point where the car will constantly thow a CEL. Is there a way to avoid this on my quest for giving the modest Si more power? In other words, is a cat back exhaust the only way to ensure I won't throw a CEL?
Detailed answers to these questions would be very helpful before I ask a distributor over here to special order an exhaust from Japan. The last thing I was is to be SOL and out $700. Thanks.
