Actually, you do. The contour of the door on the sedan compared to the coupe are not the same. You must cut the fenders in half and weld the back half of the sedan fender to the front half of the coupe fender.
I personally dont like the front bumper of the coupe as much as the sedan but to each their own.

the bumper supports aren't connected to the bumper, it's bolted to the frame, so it doesn't even matter

That's some good information! I think I'm just going to keep the bumper like it is and I think the jdm fog lights will simply mount onto the stock bumper (with some minor cutting) but that's all I wanted to know!
