what would you like, better gas mileage, or better performance? The F22 will be longer geared, better for mileage, the H22, or H23 will be better for performance with the shorter ratios.

He said f20b motor. Which is the F-series with Vtec. It has the same HP but less toruqe, go with the h22 tranny

Your h23 tranny has longer gears
the h22 has shorter gears

I think that depends on the application doesn't it? If you wanna do drags and quarter miles than the h series trannies would get you to the finish line faster because of shorter gearing.

From what I've understood from reading, F series have longer gears so would probably take longer to get up to max speed but I guess (and have no idea about this) its max speed would be higher than???

yeah the f22 would allow you to reach a higher top speed. but who drives their ludes over 130 mph anyway?

i say if you really need the extra mpg, go with the f22 or h23 tranny, if you want a little better performance get the h22 trans. make sure you know what you want so you dont have to switch later

no. the h23 has different gearing than transmissions from f22 engines...the m2s4 trans from the h23 is closer to the h22 offerings than the f22 trannies.

Also, it takes a good bit of torque to hit those top speeds so those longer gears won't mean much either. (Just some more input).
