it's hard to tell if he was lane changing or not because you can't see a blinker. he was veering off so slowly that it looked more like he wasn't paying attention and then jerked the wheel too hard then compensated for it a little too much. I doubt this accident would've been prevented by whether the better tread was on the front or back.

yeah, thats what i thought too... he hit the brake at the WRONG time in his "spaztic" apex! LOL

Yeah, that's just called not knowing how to drive by over-correcting for your mistake.
I can spin a car with R-compounds in the rear if I flick it quick enough and do a little lift-throttle action.
