Default Need to swap clusters, what happens to mileage?

Im doing a auto -> manual conversion on my Gf's 02 RSX and had a qucik question about the cluster. If I swap in a cluster to from a manual RSX, what happens to the mileage? Is it going to to revert back to the stock mileage or is it going to read the mileage from the manual cluster?

not sure, although i think this would be a concern for a buyer (is it really actual mileage?)
that's why when you mod, you don't get what you put into them...

with that said, if she's keeping it until it dies, it's not a big deal....
but i would just record the mileage before the swap,
and see what it reads when the new one's installed.
if it's different, some simple math will put you at what the chassis actually has on it.

You better take VERY good documentation of the actual mileages before you ever sell it, and TELL the seller. My business law professor bought a used Volvo from the dealer and they neglected to tell him it had a new instrument cluster. Let's just say he's a lawyer, and well...he won that case!

Call the dealer and see what they recommend. I'm not sure if they could certify and/or change the mileage or not.

Regardless, resale is shot because you're doing an auto/manual conversion. That alone is enough to scare off your average buyer.

The mileage is stored in the cluster just as if it was a manual odometer. The dealer should be able to plug the unit in to have it reprogrammed to your actual mileage or maybe a speedometer shop.
