Wanna paint your beater, but dont have the bucks? Check out how on SPEED SCENE LIVE TV, our K24 CRX
Okay, here's the problem. We are ready to assemble or K24 powered '91 CRX project car. We got a great pro painter ready to paint the car, we got a great artist concept of what we want it to look like, but we arnt really ready for the nice paint job. We have a lot of work to do and what if we want to drill some holes for wheelie bars, or modify the wheel wells in the front for bigger tires? We need to do alot of wrenching on the car and we know we are going to screw up that nice paint job.
But the car looks really bad with 6 different colors of primer right now.
Should I just shoot a coat of primer to make it all one color? That never looks all that great.
So here is what we did. We did a budget, backyard paint job for about $150.00 bucks. Now the car is all one color, wont rust, wont just be dull primer, and when its all done we can do a really nice paint job. And we show you how to do it yourself!
Dont get me wrong, I'm not trying to say this is a perfect paint job, it "is what it is".
But lots of racers cant afford the nice paint and stop at just primer. Why not just go to the next step and paint it yourself and have it look 10 times better. Right now the car is totally stripped and we can get paint into all the cracks and corners without worrying that we got paint on the wiring and stuff. Inside and out, its all one color now.
Check it out, its not for everybody, but it was fun, inexpensive, and the car looks way better than it did.

Hi Scott, I told Ryan about that show last week. Check out Ryan's thread, he just painted the roll cage in our yellow hatch. Only thing, it's a bit colder here.
