When I dial their # it's says it's temporarily disconnected! And the Verizon operator says there 's no listing for Rampage. I spoke to them about 6mos ago. Does anyone know if they 're still around?
I liked their speedy service and always gave me reasonable quotes. Never had a problem with shocks, springs, swaybar installs, etc.

no longer around, as a matter of fact, the dyno facility is now at DRT which is around the corner. Just goto DRT, tell ralphy I (CHEETAH) sent you, tell him to give you Rampage's discount pricing and Rampage's speedy service. 718 397 8586

thanks, I 've had a run-in with DTR in the past.. It became a big deal here on the boards.. long story. If Javier were still there I might go but I don't think Ralphie will want to work on my car again.. To make a long story short, they installed the Goodridge SS lines wrong and they were scraping on the inside of the rim, and could not find out where the noise was coming from and finally they told me it was the Metal Master pads that were making the noise. At the same time they broke the Master Cylinder while bleeding the brakes, and spend about 2-3hrs troubleshooting that and trying to fix it (my GSR only had 23k mi. on it at the time). I had to leave the car over there Sunday and come back Monday (from upstate NY) at which point they put in an older used MC in it. I got a bill for $550 from a $100-150 quote. Refused to pay that amount and gave him $350 which I thought was more than enough, because the brake pedal feel was very mushy, pedal traveled very far and on top of that I left the shop with a defeaning screeching sound - went to the dealer and they found the SS lines were installed improperly (not wrapped around the shock so they wouldn't scrape) and said the brakes did not feel right after a test drive, and they replaced the MC and bled the brake fluid all over again. Brakes felt better than new after dealer was done..
Don't get me wrong, I 've had DRT put Konis on my car and some other stuff and didn't have any problems. It just happened that the M/C broke while they were putting in the new fluid and pumping the pedal (too hard?), and the lines scraping and I wasn't happy with the whole thing and that they couldn't find where the scraping was coming from. I thought $550 was too excessive but I did send him $350 which I think was very generous since I didn't cause any of those problems.
Anyway, I 'm just curious, what happened to Raz? I thought he was doing pretty well with that place. It always looked busy every time I went and those guys didn't stop and BS with all the customers. They worked constantly and the place looked very productive and more professional. Shorty would turn a 1hr job into 2 or more because he allowed all the people hanging around to talk to him while he was trying to work and while I 'm waiting there for my car to get done.. 10-15 people should not be allowed to just hang out in the shop area. DRT needs a waiting room for people & customers to hange out like Rampage had. The technicians should not be bothered..
