Two things going crazy in my 1992 Accord EX
First thing is somedays I start the car, and everything runs PERFECT! Other days I start the car and the D4 light starts blinking. It drives fine, except for going from 2nd to 3rd...it takes longer to shift from 2nd to 3rd...but everything else is fine! We've already replaced the selanoids (sp.) Sometimes it will start fine, but the D4 light starts flashing as I am going down the road....
The next thing is...just the other day...after my car had been doing GREAT, I went to drive a friend home, and my Brake light came on and stayed on after I turned the car on. Then half way to her house, the ABS light came on. The car still ran fine...My husband wanted to drive it the next day to see what was going on...he drove it to work, no lights...drove it home and the D4, Brake, and ABS lights were all on.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Your TCU may be going bad. Read this link.

The brake/ABS lights could be the ABS modulator going out. I don't know how to diagnose that.

my 92 lx will do the same thing everyonce in a while. i believe the last time it did it i pulled the ecu fuse for 10+ secs or unhooked the battery and then it went back to normal. where's the tcu located, next to the ecu under the floorboard on the pass side?
well if i woulda read the above link before opening my large mouth i wouldn't have had to ask all those ?'s
