jdm 3rd brake
yeah i hear that there was a jdm 3rd brake and that the color of it is green instead of red. is this true? if so how or where can i get the things to do this to my da.
yes the jdm 3rd brakelight illuminates green, and there is a cover over the lense the allows the light to say "integra'
had one on my xsi
good luck finding one, and if you do, it's going to cost you
IMO it's pointles/waste of money, you don't have an authentic jdm da6 so save the cash and put it to something useful...don't be a poser

I've seen the cover, but not the green. Any photos?
Why would Honda make a green CHMSL standard equipment?

as requested Padawan.....though i do not have one at night of it illuminated, this should suffice (please ignore how dusty the car was, it sat in my garage all winter):

here's one on ebay for $45 for just the coverhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
I actually think its pretty neat, and will def. purchase one if i go wingless

i never could figure out why the DC had only a cover yet the DA had a full 3rd brakelight assembly with different bulbs inside coupled with the lense itself being green, not an overlay as on the DC

So is the illumination on this unit purely green/teal?
What is dFreezy referring to here? The DC version?

dFeezy is wrong and obviously uneducated on this subject.
it does illuminate purely green/teal. when he says it doesn't light up he has no clue nor first hand knowledge of this subject, or he wouldn't be making these false statements. the DC one for whatever reason has an optional piece i.e. the insert shown on that page, where as on the DA this piece is an actual lense that is part of the housing, not just an overlay
in any case it does illuminate and the resulting image should be a purely green/teal "integra"....anything else is fake

Take a closely look at the rear wing on my DC Teg. That is a JDM 3rd brake light. The piece of crap green "Integra" junk can't be seen at night or any other time so don't waste your time or money installing it

that's great and i agree with you, but:
1. you posted a DC, i had a DA (placement differs)
2. my car came with it, it wasn't some ricer add on i did
3. there were NO issues seeing it lit at night
i agree that faking the whole jdm thing is garbage, amplified 100x when it is something so minimal and pointless such as this

JDM DC's have the same "Integra" light in the hatch but the 3rd brake light duties are handled by the light in the wing or a larger light in the hatch for the wingless models.
