Turbo People...Help me Out
Bout a 2 months ago i had my Fmax Kit installed with my 2.2 Si. 1st Problem: My air/fuel gauge was sitting on rich during idle, and through all gears. 2nd Problem: My car automatically reved up while i was sitting idle..i think that may have something to do with a loose piping. 3rd Problem: My boost stuck on 13psi, and when i shifted to 4th gear, the vacuum did not come on, and the 13psi stayed on through my shift.
Then the smoke came out the exhaust and through the seems of my hood...
Any thoughts..?

Dont you mean 2.2 si vtec or 2.2 s motor... big difference.
Anyways... sounds like you blew it up from a guess... say bye bye rings
.
How did it stay boosting unless your foot was still on the gas while you were shifting or you got a turbo auto?

1. AF gauges are crap. You need to get on a dyno with a wideband O2 sensor.
2. Sounds like a vaccuum leak or it is doing what my car does when it is really hot out. I'd guess that it would be a vaccuum leak, but the latter problem should be fixed with a good coolant flush(or at least that's what I think is making my car's idle jump). If it's not the coolant then a new thermostat, radiator, or fans may be in the future.

also check your IAC valve on your intake manifold after youve checked for vacuum leaks, make sure you double check the map sensor lines also.
My boost stuck on 13psi
sounds like blown rings from overboosting.
mf2 + >10psi = boom.
Its a 2.2 Si Single cam as apposed to the twin cam on the Vtec. But what happen was when I made the shift, the gauge stuck on 13psi, and thats when i saw the smoke shot out the back. My foot was off both the gas, and clutch at the time, and the car was in neutral, but then it stalled.
Im kinda expecting the worst as far as damage.

Im having a lot of trouble finding a dyno around here. Not to many garages do work on imports in my area. I had one garage tell me that my head gasket was to thin for the turbo boost...(Not like 13psi is high or anything
)Im actually getting a good bit of money back for that since someone at the garage that i was dealing with set it up that high...You have any idea where i can get some kind of manuel of instructions on how to get my head gasket out?, cause these places are screwing me over.
