aight guys and mods please dont close i need to know this answer. Im about to buy a 96 auto prelude with a blown H23 and i have a 96 F22B1 out of a accord i was wanting to make sure the motor will bolt in? Im not going to run vtec so also would the H23 ECU still work? Thanks for the help guys

 

i dont see why it wont work. 3 of the mounts are the same between the bb4 prelude and 94-97 accord, so youll prolly need to modify the drivers side mount. the rest are the usual swap things like wiring, ps, AC lines, cruise control will work with the right combination of brackets etc. trannys are interchangable. is the 96 si ODBII or ODBI?

 

not sure im going to use the H23 auto tranny since the F22 doesnt have a tranny but i think it will all work since some ludes came with F22's if need ill use the H23 PS and crap since the motor is still in it

 

you will need the f22 ecu.. h23 ecu won't run well on the f22. also ur 96 prelude is pre obd2.

 

ok if i get the accord ecu will it plug up to the H23 harness and will it hurt the engine to not run vtec?

but its not the same f22 that was in 5th gen accords

 

yes the ecu will plug up to the 96 prelude as long as it obd2 ecu

 

and also will a header off a H23 fit the F22?
