95 Civic NO HEAT Searched, replaced heater core
I have a 95 civic i cannot get it to blow any head what so ever. I have replaced the heater core, water pump, checked the blend door postion, checked restricter valve in engine bay. flushed coolant, and bled for air bubbles. Car gets up to temp fast stays exactly where it should be no heat whatso ever.Any help would be appreciated, and i have searched, with no results

If it gets up to heat then it wouldn't be the thermostat. Maybe the switch that changes it from hot to cold is broke. I don't know what its called.
edit: heater control valve.l

incorrect.
The thermostat is on the feed line for the heeder core. If the theremostat isnt openign then there would be a good amount of heat going threw the core. Resulting in low heat.
if the thermostat was stuck wide open the car would barley ever heat up
If it was stuck closed then it would heat up normal but there wouldnt be enough coolant to heat the heater core.

New thermastat installed no luck, 8 dollars instock. Blower motor works. blow lots of air, non of which is remotely heated in any way. Both lines to heater core hot. Gets up to temp fast stays without overheating just no heat. swapped everything. messed with all linkage, and the valve in the engine bay. I DONT KNOW WHAT IT CAN BE... Everything is new or in great condition that can be seen Thanks for the input and keep it coming i want to drive this POS.
i had the same problem and it ended up being the slider thing in the dash.. so good luck who knows. but if u replaced the heater core u should fo checked every thing whilest u had the dash out... GL hope it helps..
yeah it was inside the bost so when i was moving it there was still presure on it so it felt like it was working.. idk exzactly what was broke bc my boy had a spare one so i threw it in and it worked..

I've read your post like 10 times and I dont understand it. If the thermostat is stuck closed it would A: overheat
B: not get any heat to the core.
He said it was heating up normal. If it was stuck open then coolant would circulate too much and A: not heat up at all, or very little, resulting in...

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

fixed the same problem in a pulsar and an old chevy ...slider was old so it had tension but when I crawled up under the dash the linkage wasnt even connected to the slider. Linkage was so stiff that I had to wd40 it just to get it to switch to heat.
yea thats correct, i dont know. i dont think it is water pump thermastat heater core............. valve in the engine bay, ithink about the only thing that could be messed up would be the blend door itself. I cant think of another single possibility. Im going to go see what i can find out. Atleast the dash is still just sitting in there. ill update when i know anything
the doors seem to be working alright. The heater core itself doesnt seem to be getting very hot. I dont have a clue the hoses get real hot, but they dont seem to have a lot flow. I DONT KNOW this is going to be the end of me. Any new suggestions? i want to leave
If you look at a thermostat housing there is passage ways for the coolant to get around the thermostat also It doesnt have to be stuck all the way closed, It could only be stuck 1/4 way.
For 8 dollars for the part I dont see what the harm of trying would be. His consitintly asking for help Im tryin to help. If Im wrong its 8 dollars and 15min of your time gone.. wow!
Im saying that its the thermostat not out of a guess but because I has the same problem and no one on here had an answer. I changed it and it works fine now.

I'm not saying that your wrong... I just wanna make sure he gets the correct info, as well as me for future reference.

I don't know if this applies but if you replace the thermostat and don't put that little seal around it ,....it won't work, I would imagine those little orings go out before the thermostat allowing water to pass by and cool it.
If the hoses at the firewall are hot and the valve that allows the coolant to flow into the heater core is working properly, you should be getting heat. There's always the possibility that your blower motor is crammed with a mixture of leaves and sticks that prevent it from gating air through the heater core, but that's incredibly unlikely.
Check the coolant bypass valve near the firewall and, if that's working properly, remove the blower motor and clean it out.
