How to adjust tension on alterntor belt
Just a quick question. 97-01
Do you loosen the 10mm adjusting bolt to losten belt.
ive turned it a bit both ways both feel like its going to break. just wanna check.

yes. make sure you push the alternator down though after you loosen the bolt...

Its usually corrodid between the "arm's" of the alternator bracket and the mount on your motor. So if you loosen screw but don't push down it didn't really go anywhere.
