Is anyone seeing any oil usage in their civic? I have an 07 that is using about a quart every 3000 miles....seems a bit high on a new car, or is this normal?

 

How many miles are on the car? Do you drive the car hard (in vtec) alot. A quart every 3000 isn't uncommon on these motors (and the dealership is going to tell you the same thing too).

 

Car only has about 8k on it. I know honda's official stance is that a quart between oil changes isnt out of the question, just seems high.

My H22 burns a ton of oil but it also stays around redline a lot of the time. The Civic never sees anything close to that, not much VTEC or high revs at all.
