I was wondering what type of brakes should I use (ceramic, semi-metallic)?
I drive a 2000 Honda Accord LX w/Front Disc & Rear Drums
So are there any suggestions about the front & rear brakes?

Just OEM replacements, I think I get semi-metallic?

 

well i just want something that last long & affordable that I can get at a local auto part store?
Like Duralast at AutoZone or that's what my friend recommended me & another friend recommended me getting EBC Brakes from online?

 

Yeah I just went by Advanced Auto Parts and picked up some OEM replacements (like $60? for all 4 front pads) and I believe they were semi-metallic.

So long as you don't do racing or extreme braking they'll last a decent amount of time.

from my understanding ceramics are good for high heat application. If your not going to be doing hard breaking and heating up your breaks a lot then there isn't a need for the ceramics or added cost of them.

a lot of people like to buy upgraded parts even though they will never use them the way they are intended. semi-metallics are just fine for a DD.
