i need help problem with my headlights
when i turn on my head lights my lows on right side turn on and the other doesnt, then if i turn on my brights on the right side turn or and the high lights turn on on my left side. so it ither one or the other head lights turn on ...its not the bulb i check and even bought new ones, people tell me there a short on the light switch,, but those lights switches are expensive and the labor because u have to take the airbag and the steering wheel off. so i want to make sure its that problem before i spend my money on that ohh and its a 98 honda civic dx can anyone tell me if that the problem ohh and yah my fuses are all good

IF it's the combination switch, it's not hard to replace. I've done it. In fact, I tried a few (we had three here and I knew some were bad) and it took me maybe half an hour in the dark.
You won't need to remove the airbag or the steering wheel. You just remove the cover that is around the shroud behind the steering wheel (the part the combination switches for the wipers and lights stick out of). Then you remove the two screws and pull it out. There will be two plugs in the back of the switch too.
That's all it takes.
Oh, and buy a used one from a junk yard. Not everything has to be brand new.

Had the same problem in my Tercel, combo switch, 9 times out of 10 that problem's related to the combo switch, that's like 100% characteristics of a bad combo switch, as NOFX said.
