Default 95 accord radio code?

So I had a bad battery and replaced it and radio said code.... I thought it was lame and was going to replace the radio until my silly roommate moved out and my bills doubled... I bought this car used (salvage title) and of coarse my luck no owners manual or anything that would have the radio code on it. Is there anyway to get the darn code without tearing the dash apart and getting the radio out? Its the old basic cassette model, I just need radio for the hour drive I do everyday... Any help greatly appreciated

Like it's been said in the 200 other threads about this.

Pull the radio out, get the serial, go to a dealership, give the serial number, they'll give you the code

Or just post the serial number here. Or pitch it and get a new head unit, one that plays CDs with .mp3s etc, for $120 or so.

The reason why the stock answer is "go to the dealer" is because at the dealer you will be asked to prove that you own the radio via your car's registration. That is, that you didn't steal the radio. Then again, this is a 13 year old factory cassette player, nobody is going to steal this radio and then come here for a code.

Everyone is careful because Honda requires your ID number (DPTS number) and password to get codes now. Any time I get one for a customer I ask for some form of proof of ownership, and ID. Just to keep myself out of hot water.

I pretty much agree with the above, even though I can get you the code, [through work] I have no idea you didn't steal it, maybe you have a huge collection of taps.
However it is as easy as pulling the HU so you can get the serial number, leave it pulled but connected , go to a Honda dealer service department with proof of ownership it will take them 10sec. to get the code, try the code before you leave the dealer, there will be no charge unless they have to pull the HU. 94
