reverse light switch

Default reverse light switch

how do i fix my reverse light switch, because my reverse lights doesnt come on when i put it into reverse! ive checked the light bulbs already and they are good!

Check fuse number 19 in the car, its a 7.5 amp. The switch is located on top of the transmission. Unplug the sensor and stick a ohmmeter across the two terminals. In reverse there should be continuity. When its in any other gear than reverse should be no continuity. If it fails replace the switch. Otherwise check for power going to the switch. Hope that helps

It's more likely just the actual switch itself in the trans. It's very obvious to spot, on the top side in the middle. Has a rubber boot; grab a Cresant wrench and get it off. The "button" at the end of the "switch" is probably stuck...thus time for a new one. Happened to me, so this'll hopefully save you time in looking for it!
