i've been thinking bout this build for awhile...
I've photoshoped a DC2 and moved the rear wheels back about 10-12 inches and the front wheels forward about 5-6 inches. The reason for moving the wheel back 12 inches was i have been thinking bout putting a porsche transaxle and mating it to either a LS1 block or a skyline motor and putting it in the back turning it to a 2 seater mid engine car...I know its possible and i've wonder if anyone seen anything like such on a DC...i seen it on other cars but never a honda...Its just a dream...but if i had the time i would...don't worry i have some fab skills and i can get my hands on a CNC if i need to fab up some new flanges, mounts etc...but i thought it would be a cool idea...

thats what i was thinking too...and it gives you better straight-away handling i suppose...i think it looks good...but thats my opinion...

moving the front wheels forward, you'd have to move the shock towers, subframe, steering rack, brake lines, and extend the steering column at the bare minimum. Ugh!
With the rear... I'm just not a fan of how it looks. And I'm wondering if you could even get an LS1 with a transaxle in there without having to move the seat forward.
If you do it, kudos. But I just see a car getting hacked up and never completed....

Well, with money and time, anything is possible. It could be cool...maybe....but if it were me I'd take all that money, save the time, and buy a used NSX and call it a day. JMO.

an LS1 will fit without even moving the rear wheels back...the Porsche 914's are twice as small and can fit the LS1 block with little mods...check out for yourself...

i just moved it back cause i was really thinking about a RB26DETT motor which is much longer and mate it to a porsche trans using an adapter plate that i can design and have CNC'd.

you would need to fab up a bit more then some new flanges and mounts.
