Default Radiator Reservor *boils**

I have 92 eg6 DX HB with 1.5 I flushed the radiator and replaced coolant did a major tune-up. But when I drive over 20 miles tempature stays normal but when I turn engine off I can hear the coolant in the RESERVOIR boiling???

Fan turns on when it needs to but why does the coolan t boil in the reserve tank??
Please some one help.

sounds like you might have a blown headgasket and your engine is exhausting into the cooling system due to the breach.

Would any sensors have to be replaced? I know there is two sensors in the 1.5 16 valve engine.

Try replacing the thermostat and the radiator cap. See if that helps.

i had the same issue.. only happened on 90 degree plus days, but after futher inspection my radiator cap wasnt sealing properly and caused the coolant to boil. changed the cap.. havent had the problem sense
