Default questions on a budget all motor b18c1 build

ok ive got a guy that wants to throw about 2,000.00 at his 98 ls dc2. hes got a b18c1 to put in it and i have some questions for u guys about what parts we are planning on putting in it.

im going to port the head (i finally have a honda head to do! ill have before and after numbers on this one)
hes got a dc header already (he insists on keeping it)
as for cams im we are looking at the blox stage 2
as for pistons we are looking at usdm type r pistons (10.6:1 compression right?)
stock rods (what hp and rpm are the stockers safe to do?)
i really dont know about springs and retainers (im thinking the port flow stuff)
i might do some modify to the intake manifold or just do a custom one
68 or 70mm t-body of some kind
what do u guys think?
should we do something about fuel for a setup like this? and what about tuning?

any ideas or comments would be great.

thanks,

mike

If the DC header is the "JDM" 4-1 style w/ the 2 1/2" collector, its actually not bad at all.

ARP rod bolts. My buddy learned the hard way! Ever see a type r with a inspection cover for #4 cylinder. Might need some 310 injectors to be safe.

in for more feedback as i'm doing the same thing. the 68-70 mm throttle body seems a little too much.
