Default coilover lowering problems help!

ok i recently installed some generic brand coil overs on my ef hatch and 3 of my stock struts were blown, only one was good and that one is in the back so is it even good to roll on stock struts even if they werent blown? so wut kind of struts should i buy? of a low budget? are tokicos any good? and would it help the car to stop bouncing?

Dont buy cheep parts. Just save your money and at least buy KYB AGX's or save up and buy Koni Yellows with Ground Controll springs.

Cheep ebay stuff will break. Tokicos will blowout in a week or two if your lowered too much, just like the stock shocks.

you'll find alot of people on here run tokico illuminas. tokico is a damn good name, but so is kyb or even koni. they just all require the proper application. if you've got a low budget, get some kyb gr-2's. they stock them at parts stores and are basically a factory replacement but ~30 bucks a pop. if your ghetto slammed or those coils are way too stiff, they will blow out after probably a year. problem with cheap coil overs is they are god-knows-what spring rate, and will probably crush down untill there is no spring left over time.

the only problem you'll find rolling on blown struts is the bouncing... on uneven surfaces (like bridges and highway joints where the car continually bounces) you may feel like your gonna loose control. and it could easily happen. but i think everyone on here has had blown shocks at one point or another

but at this point what i would do is ride like you are untill i could find some ground controls or skunk or omni coilovers at a reasonable price. get those and put them on and then get some good shocks

Do it right, do it once.

I did KYB AGX's with H&R Sport springs. Handles really well. I also have the ST rear bar.

Thanks!

Great ride height, even with the VW spoiler.

The sway bar made a huge difference. I am really happy with my combo. Not too stiff, not sloppy. I have it on the lowest of 4 dampening settings.
