Default civic type R dead pedal - i did a search

where can we buy this dead pedal? I want it for my Si.

looks a lot better than the one from Strut king...the strut king one--the holes are too small and close together. doesn't match our Si pedals very well.

the pic you posted isn't of a type r interior. see the 7krpm redline?

might help to find the part if you knew where it came from

I dunno, I've never seen the type r dead pedal... only some pedal in a normal civic interior picture some dude on the interwebz was trying to pass of as a type r.

here's the gtmotoring site. they have more FD2 parts than any one else I know of.
http://gtmotoring.com/civic-fgfd-jdm.htm

I saw some pretty random stuff like a hazard switch and seatbelts on gtmotoring, but no dead pedal... I might just be overlooking it though. The pedals in the pic you posted aren't the same as the US si pedals. maybe the brake is the same, but not the gas FYI

I really like my strut king dead pedal... it matches.

wow. JDMLAND.com is it!

go to the FD2 section (on the left menu).

there it all is! including the shift ***** shift boots, dead pedal. Looks much better than the strut king one.

you're right IT guy. GTmotoring has a LOT of type R stuff. but it doesn't have the dead pedal like JDMland does ;O

thanks

i agree with IT GUY. the strutking dead pedal matches the si pedals exactly. in that picture that the OP posted, the dead pedal looks nothing like the si pedals

what i'm saying is that the holes on the strutking dead pedal are too small--much smaller than the black rubber circles on our Si pedals. and they're too closely spaced together.

the one on the picture I posted at the top is not hte one either--that was just a prototype i think.

the one I'm talking about is at http://www.jdmland.com

the one that is actually on the JDM/EDM type R's.

now THAT matches our pedals perfectly :D

Well my strutking dead pedal matches perfectly, and here is a pic I found on 8th to prove it.

hmm not as bad as I thought...but i would haev liked for the little holes to be a bit bigger...kinda like the brake and clutch.

Is that a mugen si? or with mugen decal?

Not sure, I grabbed the pic off of 8thcivic. Doesn't matter really because si & mugen si's have the same pedals. (cough its a stock si, look at the shift ****) But the reason it doesn't match the brake/clutch is because it doesn't have the raised rubber inserts. The dead pedal is just like the accelerator. Hope this helps.

I don't think that's a mugen decal, and the car is a coupe (notice the door handles)

ok so thats a type r? it looks absolutely nothing like the pedals in an si. just get the strutking one...its a dead on match to the gas pedal on the si.

its an appearance only mod. its intended to tie all of the pedals together so that they all look alike. why honda didnt match the dead pedal to the rest is a question to be answered.
