Default How do you keep your glasses from fogging up?

Just wondering what everyone uses. I went for a ride tonight and my anti-fog visor did fine, but my glasses kept fogging so much (and it was too cold to keep my visor open) that I ended up just taking them off and riding a bit more slowly.

You can try spitting on your glasses and wiping them, or some other anti-fog product.

...or, contacts!

...or, LASIK!!!!

I tried shampoo once, worked very well for the first hour or so, but then began to taper off

There's always rainX, but ive been told it leaves a yellow tint on your plastic visor over a period of prolonged use... of course, that could be just hearsay

Leave your shield cracked slightly and this clear almost any fogging issues.

i have the same problem when not on the highway.

Leaving the shield slightly open might not work for two reasons, first, its just too cold to have it open and second, the glasses really fog up when stopping at a traffic light so when the light turns green you have to take off on the motorcycle without being able to see anything for the first 30 ft or so (if you leave the shield slightly open).

I guess im gonna have to go back to contact lenses

Get antifog lenses or just spray antifog sauce on it.

I have this same problem when it's cold outside. It sucks but I just leave the visor cracked and exhale downwards.

my hot, steamy breath can fog almost any visor regardless of how slowly i breath and what kind of breath guard i use. and yes, i breathe 'down' as well. it sucks to have the visor cracked when it's below freezing out

if i ever get frustrated enough i will buy one of those pinlock fog visor things

Anyone have a favorite anti-fog product? I got one a while back but it doesn't work very well (got it at a fair ... maybe that was my 1st mistake, haha).

Last night when I had the problem I was on a twisty back road going too slowly for the cracked visor to really work.

And I don't think I could use contacts... I'm too much of a wimp. I freak out when stuff gets near my eyes, haha.

nerds shouldnt ride bikes!

lol i have glasses too and it sucks, i hate having to take my glasses off to put my helmet on or off.

anyway. i usually crack my visor when i slow down, comming to a stop, then once i get up to like 20 ill close it again

if its THAT cold that that technique doesnt work, odds are im not riding. mainly for fear of ice. ive also been able to direct my breath downwards, which helps when moving.

anyway, depending on your helmet you can get a breath gaurd. other than that, i dunno.

Thats what I do to keep my visor from fogging. I don't wear glasses, but I ride in the cold and if I breathe normally then my shield fogs.

Or, wear a bandanna over your mouth and nose under your helmet. I do that when it's cold and I'm going on a long ride, just tuck the bottom under my chin strap and tuck it into my jacket. That way I don't look like a bandit

Word. I think I'll just have to head down to the bike shop and see what they've got.

Fog X is ok. I've heard Cat Crap (the brand name, not the actual stuff) works well too.

I've heard that shaving cream will keep fog from forming on glass.

try breathing through your nose, instead of your mouth. controlled slow breathing, if it does fog, it's never long enough to make a difference.. maybe you just got hottTT breath, in which case a tick tack is in order hahaha i keed i keed.
