Default Need Help, gota h22 in my ek hatch and......

Need Help, In search of a short shifter but dont kno where to start.

the reason is, i have a h22 in my ek hatch and i dont know what to search?

do i search for a prelude short shifter or a civic short shifter?

i was told i mite be needing an adapter of some sort?

I did not do the swap myself so i dont kno what shift linkage they used.

let me kno if you can HELP, and yes i tried searchin but i got nothing.

another question

i found a skunk 2 short shifter for cheap and it came off a da and the guy said it would fit 92-00 civics.

will this shifter be able to work with my ek hatch witha h22?

ummmmm DC sucks nuts. its more like day and day only you ruin your syncros over time with a DC. You need the 4bidden motorsports short shifter for the 4th gen prelude. It is the only short shifter that has been proven to work with a prelude. In your case you will treat this as if the civic is a prelude lol. its $110 i believe but well worth your money. Like the post above, its like day and night.

lol dumbest post ive ever read. a short shifter doesnt expletive with your synchros...shifting to quickly and beating the **** out of your car screws your synchros.

@ the op: an h22 uses cable linkage from a prelude so you need a prelude shifter.

dumbest post ever. Because it uses shift linkage the short shifters have a tendacy to loosen and in turn cause your shifts to become incomplete and grind, and in the end expletive your tranny. There are quiet a few stories about the DC adapters expletiveing up trannys.

im pretty sure it should fit...but how did figuring out your shifter come to getting a new one...try and see if you can find a shift bowl online...thats what i had in my integra with the h22...i had a custom shift bowl to keep things in place...it might be different but iono...G/L

Ok let me make this clear NO it will not work. Notice how I put No in bold twice. For a prelude regardless of what car its in you need a prelude short shifter unless you are running the h2b kit. DC short shifter adapter is ok but its just an adapter and tends to flex. I would go with the forbiden or one like it.
