Haha, didn't do much research before lowering huh?

Yes, excessive lowering can cause your suspension components to wear out quicker (bushings/axles/springs/struts/etc).

Obviously hitting stuff is an issue, etc.

The only thing that lowering affects is camber. It will wear out your tires if your camber is off so make sure you have a camber kit and get it aligned at a shop. I had my car lowered and didn't put a camber kit on it and my tires were gone within a week. Not fun at all. Your axles should be fine but check you control arm and sway bar bushings make sure they are not worn and if they are you might want to invest in some urethane bushings. Good luck

and if you're too low, your axles are at a weird angle and just break.

Toe has a lot more wear on your tires than camber does. My car is running around -3.5 degrees in the front and -4.0 in the rear. My only issue with tire wear is from not getting it aligned. I have been running this setup on my car for over three years and never go through tires in a week. A good alignment is key to prolonged tire wear. Not saying that excessive camber can cause a lot of wear. I would like to get a camber kit for my car but havent really had the time/money to do so. More negative camber in your car improves your handling. I am setting my car for the track so more camber is good for me. Skunk2 is a great camber kit to buy.

errrr wrong

Lowering affects camber, toe, axles, bushings, everything suspension related

as to above question, if you're that concerned

- Ingalls camber kit
- Get it aligned and toe 0'd
- Keep it aligned every 6 months
- Keep an eye on axles (i break boots all the damn time)
- etc

nope, no reason to unless you're on crap suspension

for example

stock struts + lowering springs = crap
stock replacements (kyb gr-2) + lowering springs = crap
etc

I am one of the people that's anti camber kits. I just keep my toe 0'd and I see minimal tire wear. I used to run around tucking 205/50/15's

I have since then though raised up a touch and most likely will install a quality kit to even out the tire a bit on the ground for racing purposes

the tokico shocks come with springs too, those shocks are adjustable if i put those can i higher my car just a bit

Take off the wheel and look at it.

If it's flat black looking with no real markings it is probably stock struts.

Just look at getting good replacement struts (maybe Tokico Blues or something) and some springs that don't lower as much.

I don't really care for lowering my car.

i've always been told to lower my car only if i'm driving in city limits.
