My 94 CD5 Project
Hello everyone my name is Tony. Im new to the accord section. I recently picked up a 94 accord auto ex for $300. The exterior of the car isnt so bad no major dents or damage. It just have one of those fast and furious body kit
. The interior was even worst since the guy attempt to spray paints all the tan plastic pieces black and now it look like crap
. My plan for this cd5 is to convert the interior to grey/black and then add on some jdm goodies for the exterior. Ill post pics from time to time mostly on my day off since i work 45+ hours a week so bare with me people and enjoy

been through that man, i'm the 2nd owner and the first tried to black out the gray interior trim. it's not that bad though you can piece it together easily
all i have left are the interior door handles to replace.
good luck though man.

yea good thing there a salvage yard close to my place that have a 94 with grey interior so its not so bad. I just dont know where to get a new carpet because i threw the one that came with the car away the guy painted it black as well LOL
be careful when buying those carpet kits. Know what you are getting into first.
I assume you are referring to the AAC carpets or the like. I did buy one of these carpets for my Civic before because I was upgrading much of the interior and the carpet wasn't in the best shape.
First, their return policy is only good as long as you DO NOT make any cuts to the carpet. So you first have to remove as much as possible and lay the carpet in and make sure it fits correctly. I laid the carpet out in the sun for a while as I finished prepping the car, this allowed the carpet to form back into it's molded shape instead of it's folded up boxed shape.
Second, these carpets are not pre cut. You have to do all the cutting. Doesn't sound bad right... well it takes time and you dont want to cut to much so make sure you take you time and measure twice cut once.
Third, don't expect OEM fit and quality. I spent a lot of time taking the carpet in and out, measuring and cutting, test fitting and cutting some more, etc. I got the carpet to fit pretty good for the most part, there were a few imperfections in how the carpet laid but I was able to get those into areas like under the seat that weren't seen. So overall it presented very well and has held up very good.
Everyone that saw it had nothing but good things to say. I feel a lot of the people that complain about those carpets were either expecting it to be just like OEM or they rushed putting it in and mis-cut something causing the carpet not to fit that well.

I took a look but to be honest I'm not sure. It couldn't hurt to call and ask what the manufacturer of the carpet is, though I'm not sure if they will tell you or not.
But since it doesn't say anything about being precut and all that I would assume it would be similar to what I did. The part that makes me question it is the fact that it states it's NOT returnable. Probably because they're having a special color made that will closely match that of the stock carpet, but thats just a guess.

not sure on the carpet, could try an upholstery shop?
I've heard of people with stripped cars doing the bed-liner stuff to reduce noise and that.
