Use rubbing alcohol. If that doesnt work, but it should, goto walmart get a small can of "Aircraft Remover" Rub some on thick towel and whip it offf. I promise u hat will get it off. Be super careful, this **** will take your car paint off as well!

you guys are taking it too far.
just go to a grocery store, pick up a bottle of simple green for $8, and use it (full strength). if that doesn't work, use tar/bug remover.
both worked fine for me.

i wouldnt use that aircraft paint remover on plastic
yes it will take the tint off
but i bet it will melt the plastic along with it
acetone is used to remove paint as well
but use it on certain plastics and the plastic will start to melt and deform

No you were right the first time...it's aircraft remover...but it will melt your taillights...try some nail polish remover from sally's the industrial kind. It will leave your tail lights hazey, just wet sand them and re clear coat.
acetone. (your nail polish remover)
take a large pan, and dip the portion of the light in....keep checking...when the film begins to desolve, remove and wipe clean.

lacquer thinner will work. I have done it before. Use a towel and do it in a well ventilated place. wax it when you are done.
I think no matter which route you go, your taillights aren't going to look normal after you strip off the tine spray. If you sand them, they'll turn cloudy and dull. If you use the aircraft stripper, you run the risk of deforming the plastic. Too risky if you ask me.
aircraft remover does the trick you can get it from pepboys, auto zone etc....
all you gotta do is spray & wipe with a plastic (the kind you use to kneed dough with).then wash off with water......its that simple!!

aircraft paint remover will eat through some of the plastic. I have been using this stuff for years.
Lacquer thinner won't. Done this many of times for my friends who painted theirs back in 97.

i dont recommed using the paint stripper..i will eat your plastic layer away.
goof off, nail polish remover prolly wont do sh_t.
lol do it the redneck way, spray alot of paint over the lens, let the paint soak for a min or so and then rub it off with thinner

if you have that store 'TAP Plastics' in your area, go there and ask for this chemical that removes graffiti and spray paint off of any glass or plastic material, the guy at the store told me that people use it to remove graffiti from vending machine windows. i used this on my friend's tail lights and it worked great. it completely removed the black tint from his tail lights and didn't hurt the plastic at all. i don't remember the name of the chemical (it's been like 5 years) sorry.
used this stuff called "SEM SOLVE" to take the paint off my corner lights. They're as good as stock now.
I bought the stuff at some car paint store.

Aircraft Remover will destroy your tailights. Tried it on OEM turnsignals, it will eat the plastic. Use "Goof Off" the aerosol kind, its paint thinnner in a can.
