Tuning Question
I have a D51B7 in my car, until I can afford to swap it, so don't hate yet. To pep it up a bit, I have the basic bolt ons -- intake, dc header, exhaust, z6 intake manifold, fidanza flywheel, exedy clutch.
Getting to the point: I recently (with help of a friend) installed a new water pump, timing belt, D16a6 cam and adjustable cam gear. The car bogs really bad, seeing as how we didn't know where to set the cam gear. We set it at oem specs and the car idles well, but when you floor it, it has issues making it's way up in the RPM's. Now I just finished paying off my bills and stuff for college and literally have no money. So my question is, how important is that I get it fixed and tuned right now? Am I going to break anything internally if I don't get this done right away?
Thanks in advance .. I just need assurance to know that seeing as how it is only an OEM cam that it won't be completely necessary to have it tuned right this second.
Help. Thanks.

Almost sounds like your ign timing, since it is idling well. Only thing that comes to mind to get it done chick (cam timing) is to take the cam gear off, put it right next to the stock one and make a reffernce mark on it to where it should be. Then put it on and set it like normal.
Word. Found my answer on http://www.d-series.org
The cam gear needs to be set 4.75 Retard for it to be perfect in the D15Beast7.
Thanks for your response. Pretty amazing how nobody else bothered to answer.
