Default Where to stay for the Big Bama Race?

I'm most concerned with the surrounding area, whether it's "ghetto" or not and if my car will be safe on an open trailer at a hotel parking lot. Anyone from around there that can chime in?

We will have security at the track for all 3 days of the event. You are more than welcome to leave the car there. I also will be staying at the track to over see things.

Right off exit 6, on 85 there is some really nice hotels. We stayed at the marriot and it was really cheap like 70 a night!
Stay on the other side of 85, they have nicer rooms then motel 6 and stuff!!!

Before you guys start making reservations, let me know what hotels look inviting to you and I will call and try to get some better rates for the race teams/fans.

So you're saying, when looking at the map, go south of 85?

It looks like we have a band coming for Friday night for some after hours entertainment. We can't do a big famous band but we have started talking to a band that does have stuff out on the radio.

Their name is the Giraffe's. Let me know what you think. They do have stuff on youtube.

There are a ton of hotels within a 5-7 miles down from the track,( between 85 and the track)
Hooters is about 10 minutes from the track, but it is a straight shot too.
Another decent get together hang out place w/ drinks is RedStar in Eastchase.
