I'm 99.99% sure that all B and H series Knock sensors are the same so the H23 should work. I bought one off of ebay that claimed to be for B/H series motors and it was the same as the one on my H22A.

 

The h22a4 has a square plug correct. The h23's knock has a round plug. I think they are the same internally but the have different plugs. So if you get the h23 knock sensor make sure you get the plug with it also to wire it in.

What year is your car and what engine harness are you using? If the engine harness is OBD1, it will plug right in. While you are at it, I would suggest checking your plug that goes to the knock sensor because I recently changed mine and sometimes I still get the code 23. I suspect that my plug may need a new pin connector.

 

i have a 98 honda prelude, converted the wire to obd1 knock sensor plug

 

should be fine then.
