RSR GT2 exhaust is probably the best N1 spec exhaust out there, i've had myn on the car for 3 years and no rust. Sounds gorgeous albeit very loud. I made 155whp on a jdm b16a with a RMF 4-1, GT2 and stock intake arm with a filter on the end.

Haven't figured out what all i want to use. Still looking around and talkin to people.

you would be better with a 2.5in" exhaust system...the RS-R ExMag GT2 piping diameter is 60mm =2.36 inches"...

if you plan to built the head and you already got the hytech replica header that's 2.5in", it would be better for your setup a 2.5 exhaust...
a 2.36" exhaust in the long run with your plans is going to become a little restrictive.
in the performance forum you can get a good deal on a 2.5 exhaust
contact SMSP or Kteller for that...for a custom 2.5 exhaust...

**** anyone who supports the "replica try y" header. I'll slam another beer and say it again...SELL OUT. You want a header that performs on a B16? Why would you buy a long-tube manifold? Think that piston speed is gonna get along with that piece of **** that some 12 year old in China made you for .12 cents an hour? If you're serious about trying to extract horsepower out of your B16, my first suggestion would be the Toda header. If you're looking budget, theres nothing wrong with a Greddy/DC or JG.

Yes I am serious about it. So in your opinion what exhaust do you recommend besides the RS-R that would work best? I'm jus trying to get peoples opinon on things they've had positive gains with or no gains.

Thanks for the help guys!

clean rice it's real funny for you to say this , when Mfactory, sells this header too, i remember a year ago in the performance forum...

here's a link of a company selling the MFactory race header , it's a hytech replica , just do a google or yaho search , they even sell a k-series nock off...so stop your Bullshi(t)...

http://www.jperformance.co.uk/...9c800

if you don't support that, stop selling MFactory products, let's see how committed you are to your word...

92 white eg the hytech replica or the toda header are the best off the shelf headers, period...and the replica is the best bang for the buck...

h-t bandwagon...there is always one....

Thanks for the input. It was going to be between those two headers its jus ive read alot of people saying that they do like the hytech and lot that dont so it was kinda of lot of mixed decision making. If you guys recommend a better that cost more but comes with more proven gains then I will wait to get someting thats better! Also where would i find the Toda Header online???

Thanks for the help!

92 white eg at the price that the replica is , there is nothing better in that range...and seriously get a custom exhaust..a real 2.5 and you won't regret it...

if you want to look for toda...http://www.todaracing.com/ , just look for a product dealer of them in the US.

Keep flappin your gums and ACTING like you know what the hell is goin on guy - good job, almost caught me!

To Rony_Typer...I honestly dont know how the ws compares to a custom exhaust. Never had one and none of my friends do either. Sorry about that one.

Yea the first place i went to was the toda site. I jus have to look for the closest dealer. So you guys are saying that the hytech or the toda would be the best off the shelf? Alright i know that i keep asking this question but in your guy's opinion what exhaust do you guys think is best for the setup that im goin to run besides doin a custom exhaust.

Thanks guys!

Well I'll throw my $.02 in here. This header looks to be the same as the original Hytech production which also had problems with hole alignment. So that makes me believe that this set of 90 or however many there were, was probably from an initial run of headers. The company has probably heard from many that the holes don't line up so I can only assume if they are now making the header they have gotten the alignment issue corrected. Now if HyTech is selling these to all these different shops then it should be OK to buy them. But if these shops are going around HyTech to buy these then that is just plain wrong. Please note I don't know which path is correct, I'm just putting down the scenarios.

As for the comment, why does stuff cost 5 to 6 times more? Because they are probably made in China or Tiawan for dirt.

Here are a couple pictures from a factory in China.

Probably not the best place to work in and I've been told (by a realible source) that the welders in these exhaust factories make about $200 US per month. At just 20 headers a month, that's only a $10 labor fee per header.

I'm not sure how they get their material so cheap compared to US material. But I know the material quality is much different. I have taken some pictures of another header that was made in China and this is what the ID of their 304 stainless looks like. Please note that this stuff was shined so nice on the outside too. lol.

Versus some of the stuff that a custom builder would use here in the states.

So to answer your question on cost. We can't live on $200 a month here in the states and most of us wouldn't even use such sub quality material. Just FYI, if you were to buy a 1-3/4" 16g 304 SST U Bend on a 3" radius from Burns today you would pay almost $42 and that only for 1 bend!

With that said, I still understand why people go and buy this stuff and it's because it's so cheap.

i dont give a **** about headers, but if this is about exhaust, i am not sure if it was released but R-Crew made one that could be configured about 4 different ways, had all slip joints. available in 2.5 and 3in. all for about 700 walrus pelts.
