New to Honda-Tech. I bought a 98 Civic coupe about 7 months ago mainly as a commuter. As I search and read more on this forum, I started to get the mod bug. And now that its the slow season at work and I have more time on my hands, I can begin working on my little DD project. I will be updating and documenting the build from time to time. Let me know what you guys think.
When I purchased the car, the headliner was falling off and had ciggerette burns everywhere. I since then reuphostered the headliner and pillars in dary grey suede.


And also I bought the car with no speakers, so I went ahead and bought a set of components for the doors. looking at the speakers, I thought it would be cool if I showed off the kevlar cones. I then made a cover using the stock cover, mdf, and bondo and wrapped that in a matching viynl.

Also added an Alpine deck and a old school kenwood eq I had lying around in the garage.
Recently did the suspension too. the car came with skunkworks coilovers, So I kept those and added kyb agx shocks. Bought blox LCA's and ASR subframe. Waiting for CTR sway to come in along with some other goodies.


All this was done about a month ago, so I didnt get a chance to document the process. I will be documenting the the build in detail as progress continues. So now that you guys are up to date with this little DD. Ill start this build

where did u buythe suede headliner?? where did you buy the materials?

 

I bought the suede at a local automotive uphostery shop for about 16 dollars a yard. its an artifical suede. I use it at work alot. Its alot more strechable and easy to work with. its not as heavy either, so it works great for headliners. Looks almost like the real thing and is very affordable. If your local. I can give you the name of the place.
