So I've wanted to switch the head from an H22 or possibly h23 to my F22b1 Its cheaper (or should i just buy a complete swap to avoid problems) .....I know im going to have to buy the ECU and Harness Etc... anyway anyone know if i would have to plug or make any extra hole's you know for like the oil and what not? and I done some research and Ive read some threads where people said the pistons would also have to be changed and others say the stock one's on the f22b1 would work fine ? so to change or not to change is the question......

 

you can do it and it will give some good results pretty much plug and play

 

there are a few walkthroughs but i dont think any apply specifically to the f22b1

 

its the same block as the f22b2.

also, the h22 is not a direct swap, the h23 head is the same as the f22 dohc from japan.

and 3rd look in the faq there is a 120+ page write up.

try doing some searching and also look through the swap links in the FAQ. That should help answer most of your questions.

Like Andryzzle stated, none of the write-ups deal specifically with the F22B1 but they do deal with the F22B2 block and F23A1 block which are both going to be very similar.
