Is this bike worth buying?
So like the tilte state i want to kno if this bike is worth buying as i am looking to get a little project bike going.
Well the details of the bike are it is a 2002 GSXR 600 and it was laid down on the right side at about 20 25 mph by the owner and have been sitting in a grage for almost a year as he was goint to fix it but didnt have the time.
The damage that is done to it is mostly cosmetic but cracked the stater case .
He wants $2000 for it. Soo was wondering if you guys thikn it is worth it.
Thanks

it cost me almost 2k to repair my 01 gixxer after I laid it down going 30.....got run off the road.
They are notorious for bending frames and subframes and you might want to check out the price of painted fairings and case covers before you make your decision.

the fairings dont really matter to me as they are only scratched and the case cover is about 100 and the is from the shop that was goin to fix it. i jus want to get it up and running
I am just saying, be careful. It does not take very much to bend a gixxer frame sometimes.
I had to replace the rear subframe on mine, and there was no impact with anything except for when it laid down.

quoted for truth.... i bought my gsxr after searching for a while, i refused to buy one that had been dropped... suzuki frames are anything BUT strong frames.. they are notorious for bending and cracking at the neck... look it over very hard before deciding on it.. 01-03 gsxr 600s can be found in near mint shape for sub 4k and then you DONT need to worry
