Default A few questions about type r cams

Is there a serial number or anything on them that tells you they are type r cams and not gsr cams??? and are they really worth it?? I heard I will gain a lot or horsepower but lose a lot of toruqe. Is this true?? I'm thinking about selling mine and getting springs and shocks instead.

Save yourself the hassle and get the springs and shocks first.

i didnt really feel any loss in torque but you can tell hp definately went up. I could really hear the secondaries too. I would get the springs and shocks first but type R cams are an excellent investment for the future

spring shock first then go for the type cams..... You definitely feel the gain and torque loss nah.

hp is directly related to torque.

You've got torque from 1-8100 rpm. Same goes for HP. Please stop confusing torque does not equal low end power.

I think you actually gain more low end torque, because vtec engages at a higher rpm.

low end torque = low end power high end HP = Higher Speed
