Default Sparco EVO 1 & 2 & 3

Whats the difference? Is it a weight/width thing?.......or so I gather.

For what its worth I'm 6ft 145lbs and in need of seats asap.

I went to Sparco and downloaded their .pdf of the seats and compared the width differences, but overall the best thing to do is visit a dealer, or find someone local that has one of the seats for you to sit in to verify sizing.

What part of Virginia are you from? If you live in Nova, OG Racing in Sterling has a wall of all of the Sparco seats on display for you to try.

As a point of reference, I'm 6' 235 lb and I barely fit in an Evo2 width wise. However the harness holes are a bit low for me.

It's all about your waist size & hips...I'm 5'8" & 185lbs (34" waist), so my Evo is a little tight. If I was any bigger, I'd have to get a different seat.

I'm in NOVA too.......Ashburn. I'll check them out when I get back in town. I'm trying to get things together and my car ready for this season. Tired of watching vs racing.

Thanks for the feedback on the seats. I'll def need the Evo 1. I am assuming I just use Sparcos mounting brackets also right? I see where some have had issue with hole alignment and if there is another bracket I should consider I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.

I had problems mounting my Evo2 on the sparco base and sliders. The side mounts were too wide for the base and sliders.

If you want to use your stock seatbelt, be sure to get the Sparco base with the seat belt attachment point.

save your money, go with a MOMO Start seat for half the price. FIA approved, and lighter then the Sparco Evo's.

I know nothing about the Momo's. I've heard lots on the comfort of the Evo's and is the main reason for basing my decision. The car is not a daily (my truck is) but until I have my license I will still use it for random trips etc which my stock SI seats kill my back.

Comfort is a must.

I will want to still use the stock seat belts for the time being. I'm ordering 6 point harnesses + roll bar but like I said, the car won't be "dedicated" until I have my license and I don't want to have to strap in every time I go somewhere.......not to mention passengers.

ive done a 10hr road trip in my evo (no stop except for gas)

for a DD it doesnt bother me at all I love them

for long trips like 4hr its a little bad (you cant really change your position much)

after my 10hr trip my back hurt a little but i think really sitting in almost any sit for 10hrs would make my back hurt

just make sure you get it installed right
i want to see if i can angle mine a little more toward the gas pedal so I dont have to king my knee to press it

really for DD i wouldnt want anything else
its great it doesnt bother me at all
ill take a little discomfort for the added feeling

i also have 600/600 springs which might make it a bit rough

I have an Evo2, it was installed in my car for ~3-4 years, 450/550 springs on the Type-R.

I drove across country in the seat, Bay Area-->Utah/Wyoming border-->middle of Iowa-->Chicago-->Beaverrun, PA(Type-R expo)-->Wisconsin-->Iowa-->Nevada-->Bay Area. each --> represents a single day of driving, I was the sole driver, and I slept in the seat a few times, though I did add in the adjustable inflateable Lumbar support.

I'd say that the seat was very comfortable and supportive. I also did ~12 track days and a ton of autocross runs with the seat installed, as well as ~40-50,000 miles.

I'd buy another Evo2 seat.

10 year? That's pretty crazy man.

I daily drove my Integra with an Evo for about a year... it's not too bad especially for drives under an hour.

Anyone happen to know if the Evo2 Plus is FIA certified? I was looking on Sparco's website, and I don't see the FIA stamp on the listing for the seat, whereas the Evo and Evo2 both have it (the Evo 3 doesn't).

EDIT: Just looked at the PDF document. EVO 2 Plus has FIA cert and seperate number.
