Do some research, especially the newer RS-X for example. The reason why they are worth so much is because there is platinum in the catalyst.

I know what they're worth. I deal with cats daily and I'm telling you NO junkyard will give $200 for a convertor unless its off a ferrari. I know exactly what they are all worth, what the core buyers pay and how much platinum and rhodium that can be extracted from them. But believe what you like
There is a cash and carry here in savannah that pay well for cats, and my friends shop has these guys that come by in a truck and buy cats for 100-200 each. Who knows what they do with them, but they obviously think they're worth it.

Why don't you do your research. Platinum is NOT the most valuable part of a cat, its the Rhodium. It is in the platinum family, but different and about 5-6x as valuable.
