Ignition coil for F22B2.
Has anyone have a clue where I can find a performance ignition coil for my 95 Accord wit F22B2? Ive search around but the only coils I found on the market is for the V-Tech motors.
the MSD external coils should work just fine.
With any aftermarket performance external coil you'll most likely need to cut off the OEM external coil plug and rewire it to the new coil. IIRC, went through that in a thread of yours from quite a while ago.

Yeah, but thats the thing. I have to switch the pigtail connectors, but there is an extra wire that noone seems to know or not sure what to do with. And MSD sells coils only for the B1 engines. I'll look up my old thread maybe I missed something back then. Thanx for the reply bro.
I did a sort of DIY conversion harness for an Accel 2 wire coil in my F22B2 ITB thread. The Accel coil that I used is part number 140019 (CD only Super Coil)
Not sure if this will help you out with or not. but the write up is on the second page down at the bottom.

There are 3 wires in the pigtail connector:
Solid Yellow
Black w/Yellow stripe
Green.
F22b1 only have 2 wires. Im not sure what color they are though.

I would read through your old thread because it has your answer.
The F22B1 wire colors are BLK/YEL and BLU. But that doesn't matter since you aren't converting to internal coil.
More importantly you need to know where your current wires will attach to a aftermarket coil. The aftermarket coil will have a positive and negative terminal. Cut off the 4P connector and strip the ends of the wires, connect the YEL and BLK/YEL wires to the positive terminal and the GRN wire to the negative terminal.
If your using a coil that just has some treaded terminals like MSD, just solder/crimp on some connectors that can just be bolted to the threaded terminal. If you are using a coil that has a plug for the wires, just wire in the 2 wires from the car to the positive side and the other to the negative side of the plug. You could also go ahead and do what Ghost did to his if you want it to be easily reversible.
It's pretty straight forward really, should be much trouble for you to do. Don't worry about the coil saying it's only for the B1, it'll work fine if you wire it up correctly. I'm not even sure why they only list it for a F22B1 when it's an external coil and the F22B1 came with internal coil.

Thanx for the answers guys. They helped me out alot. Btw, I did read "Ghosts" Accel coil experiment, lol.
4u bro. Job well done.
It seems like its a time consuming job, but btw he described the results its seems that its well worth the effort.
Idk y MSD or other companies never manufactured direct fit coils for F22B2, but they sure came up with the internal2external coil conversion kit! lol.
So I've decided to print out "Ghosts" instructions and roll up my sleeves when I get a free minute. Thanx again 2every1 who replied on my q's.
