Default 98 F23 Vtec - couple simple questions!

So now I just need to know if the F22 Vtec and F23 Vtec headers are the same!

no, the F22B2 (non-VTEC) and F22B1 (VTEC) exhaust manifolds are not the same. The F22B1 is a better design and can be used on the F22B2 by making the O2 wires longer to the new O2 sensor location. The F22B1 and F22B2 exhaust manifold bolt locations are the same.

I'm not sure if the F22B1 exhaust manifold will fit on the F23Ax head.

I assume you are asking if the F22B1 IM bolt location are the same as the F23Ax IM bolts? If so, yes.

Yes, you can swap the F23Ax IM for the F22B1/2 IM but most would prefer the larger plenum of the F23Ax IM over the smaller F22B1/2 IM's.

The reason for me to switch to an F22 Vtec IM is cause I am using the F23 in an obd1 car - so the IACV is only 2 wire on my harness. The IACV on the F23 IM is a 3 wire (OBD2) if I was to switch the IM I would not have to worry about it any more!
