Default all motor : type r or gsr

i want to built a all motor car cant decide whats is the best set up, a gsr fully built with a type r tranny, or a type r fully built same parts

If you plan on changing out the pistons and rods, you might as well save some money and start with a GSR block. When I began my 2.0L build, I picked up a complete GSR block w/papers at a local junkyard for $400, much cheaper than sourcing a C5 block.

There is no difference between any B18 block except internals. The key thing to know is that the GSR and ITR both have good main caps and girdle.

i mean for a jdm type r 98 spec, is it possible to beat a type r mod for mod when you built the gsr

if you're gonna build up the motor, then you might as well get the gsr.
