Default Synchros 1 vs. 2 and 3 vs. 4

correct me if i am wrong but it appears to me as if the synchros for 1st and 2nd gear are the same and also 3rd and 4th-- is this true?

most likely since they don't change with the number of teeth on the actual gears

1st and 2nd have larger diameter synchro rings, and in some cases, 2nd gear is the only double synchronized gear in the set. A double synchro and a single synchronized gear's cone aren't compatible.
