Default Tune with apexi afc neo

my plan is to turbo my car, I have everything i need except for a boost controller and a exhaust gasket but im gunna get these before i install.
I bought a apexi afc neo and I was wondering if it would be possible to tune it correctly with just this or am I going to need to get it dyno tuned.
me and my friend who is a mechanic are going to do the full install and he says its possible with just the neo but im just making sure theres nothing i need to know before I do this

the afc hack is not a very good idea. looks over on homemadeturbo.com they have many write ups on it. or just search here.

it is possible, but is basically the second shittiest way to tune a car. first being a fpr

on that psi you should be fine with the afc. you will need a GM map sensor and some 450 injectors, and set the afc to certain parameters, and you will be fine. the specs can be found on that HMT.com i posted above.
