hey guys, i am looking at picking up a 92-95 hatch back. Just got back from looking at the car and the cam is cracked. Its fairly priced but i am wondering if the block would still be fine? I can see the valves being bent but do you guys think the bottom end is still in good running order? I guess the only way to find out is to take the head off but what could have potentially happen?

so the cam is just cracked from what you can see?? to get straight to the point ..the only way your going to find out is when you remove the head, its not very hard....and its better to be safe then sorry...i've seen cams break with near to nothing carnage then i've seen some pretty nasty **** happen when a cam breaks...
