ok, my car has been having this interesting problem... when i would go out to my car in the morning and turn the car on, the corner lights would come on and be very dim.(this is without turning the lights on period) i can also see the two turn signal indicators on my dash being very dim, and the "backlights" on. normally this would happen for about 20sec, then stop.

well today, it did it like normal, then stopped. but about halfway to work, it died and i couldnt get it started. pushed it over to the side, turned everything off(light, heater, defrost) started right up. turned my lights on, and i saw the two turn signal indicators lit up dim.

now, anytime i press the brakes, turn the rear defrost on, or turn the headlights on, the two turn signal indicators light up real dim, the cornerlights light up real dim, the "backlights" come on, and the car dies. and, when i turn the turn signal on, when the turn signal bulbs are on, the car boggs if im on the gas. it sounds like brraahhhbrrahhhraahhh. it goes with the signal.

and i have narrowed it down to shorting to the fuel pump. whenever the fuel pump is on, the corner lights are on real dim. if the engine is off, and i turn the key to right before it starts, the fuel pump kicks on to prime, and the corner lights come on the sec it does that, and turns off when the pump does.

so would anyone have any idea where the fuel pump circuit comes in contact with the turn signal/brake light circuit? the rear defrost is still throwing me off...

all this is after a dpfi to mpfi swap... all i did to the signal system was extend the passenger side turn signals. but if it happens when you press the brakes, it should not have to do with turn signals.

and i might mention that the problem is intermittent. it will do fine for a min, then not.

im at a loss here. the rear defrost affecting it throws me off... does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?

i have to go to work tomorro in the morning, and i CANT TURN MY HEADLIGHTS ON without it killing the engine...

need help with this one guys... ALSO, the fuel gauge on the dash will show how much gas is in the tank with the key on engine off... but the second you turn the car on, the gas guage plummits instantly

i got to get to work with this tomorro morning, and i cant drive it at night if its doing this!
