Default Question on re-wiring corner lights to bottom turn signal 94-97

Just wanted to know if there was a way to re wire the corner lights with the bottom turn signals.

I would like the the corner lights to turn on along with the bottom turn signals.

But I also wanted the bottom turn signals to be functional when I hit the stalk on the steering wheel

If its not possible then just say that.

Thanks.

if you cut the power line to the parking light and then hook it up to the blinker that will make it blink with the corner.

if you want to retain the parking lights and still make it blink.. its probably not really possible without relays of some sort. i guess you could do it by ungrounding it thru the relay.

I was also thinking of doing this. Basically making the front signal lamps stay on when you turn the parking lights on and then blink when using the turn signals.

Obviously all that should be required is splicing into the corner light wires. IIRC, the front signal lamp is a dual-filament bulb, so it should work. I couldn't tell you for sure how you're going to wire it up because I don't know the wire colors or what they do - this is something you'd have to figure out from a wiring diagram.

The front turn signals are not dual filament bulbs. I know if they were I wouldnt have this problem.

Wire the ground of the corner light to the + of the turn signal.

The Positive of the turn signal acts like a ground when disabled, and power when it's on. So the result will be alternating lights.

BUT it will stay turned on when you do the corners since the positive acts like a ground.

Flip the signal on and it'll alternate with your turn signal (turn on, corner off, turn off, corner on)

I Just did this about a week ago and it's fairly simple.

first you need to get a dual filiment socket. I bought mine at napa for $7, and I think I was for a 95 civic.

I connected the positive to the positive corner light and one of the two ground wires to the ground on the corner light.

Then I connected the last wire to the positive wire for the bumper light.

Works great! The light stays on a blink nice and bright when the turn signals on!

The first time that I tried this I just hook the positive and ground from the bumper light to the corner

light. Now the corner light doesn't blink anymore.

I checked all of the fuses and they seem to be good.

could it be a rely? if so, which one?

Did you look at the bulb?

Is the wiring from the splice to the corner incorrect?

Etc.

My question though was the wiring going to them messed up?

Did it pull away from the terminal, etc

You say you have a wire run to them.

That's not saying whether or not the actual copper of the wire is coming in contact with the terminal.

So have you looked to make sure the power is actual making it to the light itself?
