Default paint problem here...

first off, my hatch has been repainted because my emblems were shaved off(previous owner did it.) It was repainted with the wing still on. Well today I took off the wing, and came across a problem, there is a line from the factory paint and the new paint. The new paint is above the factory, and it can easily be chipped off(which is a bad thing). My question is, what can i do to keep it from chipping? Like get some sort of polish to keep the edge of the paint to be smooth with the factory. i hope that made some sense..thanks in advance

damn, that's kinda shitty. The best bet would be to just get the rear hatch re-painted. It'd only cost you like 150-200 bucks. There's really no way to stop paint from chipping if the paint wasn't applied properly.
